Getting my new 360 tonight... Any game recommendations?
Hello folks,
Getting my new 360 tonight Games I have are Gears of War, Gears of War II, Fallout 3, Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones. I'm going to try and exchange kung Fu Panda and Indiana jones for the new Tomb Raider, if they're not having it I'll try and get shot of Gears of War with them.
Are there any other games that you can recommend?
Cheers,
Claire

Are Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones on the same disk like Forza and Viva Pinata were? If so you might not get that much trade in for them.
Depends what type of game you like and if you will be playing online.
Bioshock's my all time favourite shooter, you can pick it up for £20 new now but it's only a one-player. I like Forza for a driving game, that's cheap too.

Not sure, haven't had a look yet! They're all brand new and boxed so hopefully I'll be able to sort something out. I desperately want the new Tomb Raider!
Definitely will be playing online. Like to play anything I do particularly like Halo, Hitman, Assassins Creed, Ghost Recon and Tomb Raider if those give you an indication of what I like

I was in Meadowhall yesterday and I think Game are doing a special offer on Tomb Raider at the moment I've £28 in my head for some reason although it's not on their site. I may be wrong.
If you like Ghost Recon perhaps try either Call of Duty 4 or 5?
If you like Halo then you might want to stick with Gears Of War 2 (I didn't like either though).
Assassins Creed was quite an open game so perhaps try Fallout 3?
lternatively, why not just try those you have first and see how you get on? I doubt you'd get any less trade in if they were opened anyway.

Geometry wars 2 from XBLA ..... it will burst your eye *****
Project Gotham 4
Forza 2
Call of duty 4 or 5 ( Both good )
Pure ( Like SSX on Quad bikes and a real sleeper hit of a game)
Fable II if you like RPG's ( I didn't like RPG's but this game got me hooked)
Rockband
And if your going to try Gears start with the first game ..... the story is worth it.
Then join live and add your name to the list

Good stuff folks, cheers! I'll look into them. Liking the look of COD. Quite intrigued to see what this indiana jones game is all about too now!
Can't wait to get my hands on it. ETA 9.30pm. I've waited for this day for sooooo long
This is going to sound daft, but can I still play my old xbox games on it?

I tried to trade in KungFuP and LIJ, but as it was part of the "Entertainment pack" that came with a controller, it was a no-go. Not sure if yours was part of that amazon deal.
I've been out of gaming for a while and just got a X360.
I'm loving Fight Night 3. Far Cry 2 didn't do it for me. Halo 3 is OK, but is not having the same impact as the first 2.
Fallout 3 will apparently take away your life:

Here's some games that reviewed well:
IGN Xbox 360: Games, Cheats, News, Reviews, and Previews
GTA4 got 10/10 from IGN, so i suppose that might be worth a try. I'm not getting into it just yet. Only been 2 hours though.
Seeing as it's after 9:30pm, i doubt you'll be reading this now and will be battering the new Xbox. Enjoy!

Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty: World at War (don't call it CoD 5)
Dead Space
Guitar Hero: Legends of Rock
Oops, I alomst forgot to list this little gem: Grand Theft Auto IV
But to tell you the truth, with Fallout 3 you will be busy for a very long time.

If you like RPGs you could do worse than get hold of Oblivion, (by the makers of Fallout 3). It's been out ages so you should bea able to pick it up really cheap, and it's a supeerb game. I lost over 140 hours to that one

Okay, it turns out I've got fable II, not fallout 3. On a study day today from college and the child is away to his granny and grandads for the weekend. Going to pop out to pick up a few essentials so I don't have to leave the house at all this weekend Dear lord, I've never been so excited at the prospect of a 'weekend in' since I got the original xbox!
Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones were on the same disc unfortunately. As were Gears of War and Gears of War 2. Saying that, my boyfriend was round last night so we had a bash at the Lego Indiana Jones, it wasn't bad at all!!
Definitely going to have a look at the titles mentioned. Thanks very much!
Going to get signed up for my months free xbox live gold membership too, then will get my Gamertag on the list

In regards to original xbox games on your xbox, have a read of this. It tells you what you need to make it work, and I believe it has a list of games that are compatible.
What's you're gamertag going to be? QueenIrnBru?

Sorry micky, meant 2 games in the one pack! I bought vegas 2 for my mates birthday, I think I played it more than him.
LOL Markus I should have done! I'll see if I can change it. It's currently 'ChoccoE'
Been playing gears of war all afternoon. HOW GOOD BTW!
I like games like that Edd, I used to play Silent Hill like that

I've just had an hour on Guitar Hero before my mate asks for it back. I've got a left hand like a Claw.
Fallout 3 is £24.99 @ HMV delivered now. If you're interested...
hmv.com: games: Fallout 3 (2008)
I'm still tempted to get GOW2. Decisions....Decisions....

vegas 2 is funny, because its a bit of a buggy crap game, but has this kind of diehard following that still play it online, mainly terrorist hunt.
i asked a few of the lasses in game why they were playing and they all told me that they were "ranking up" for the boy friend while he was at work LOL
why cant my missus do that?
any kind of 3d game and she falls to pieces and simply can not cope

Well i went to get GOW 2, but it was £40 everywhere. I'll buggered if i'm paying £40 for a game, not unless it has drums, guitar, mic and saxamaphone.
I thought games were £30, £35 tops. Guess i'll be doing the back catalog and pre owneds until there's something i really want.

for what its worth i went back to GOW 1 multiplayer today and found it thriving with people playing games, no lag, no problems.
put gow2 back in afterwards and it was crap, lag, ****e, rubbish
GOW2 multiplayer has turned into a massive disappointment for me, wondering how the next xbox live online chart turns out to be honest, i suspect GOW1 might still be quite high up!
