If its any help I got one last weekend for £299.99 with LittleBigPlanet, GT5 Prologue and non-sony spare controller, dvd remote, stand and hdmi cable (you dont get a cable with the PS3).

What's the minimum price now for a PS3 console ? £299.99? With Xbox down to £129.99 I can see Playstation struggling this Christmas.
I don't care what Sony say - they both appear to have similar performance. Unless you want Blu-Ray , whcih I never use, I wouldn't bother, especially at that price.

PS3 is usually £299.99 for console only but as above you can get 2 games + extras for that price as well.
Lets compare like for like as well. Xbox360 Elite is £219.99 and doesnt include Wifi or blu ray and you get 1month on Xbox live gold if you wish to play online.

I don't bother with Wifi or BluRay and I don't play online, although I hear the XBL experience is generally much better.
