Just got the RROD, tried the website to get it sorted but it needed my Gamertag, which I haven't used in over a year, so I can't remember the e-mail account it's set up on, so can I set up a new one just to get them to pick it up?

Or is it best to phone them? To be honest I was ready to maim the last guy I spoke too...."System down isn't it, phone back in 3 hours"


Or just buy a new one !

Phone them as the RROD is covered by the 3 year warranty and they shouldn't need the gamertag to do it

It doesn't ask for your gamertag on the repair registration webpage.

We just had a simular situation, one of our xboxes has got this again. My son went on the website to get a label emailed through, but it wouldn't let him, it says to phone them up. But no one has bothered to ring them up yet.

Probably best to ring them
