Sound no longer works

Default Sound no longer works
Cleared the **** behind the PC today, added a microphone and a USB disk drive ...

Since then the sound doesnt work .. everything reports ok on PC .. I dont understand it ..

On board sound .. its is a surround sound setup but I only have two speakers installed and its worked perfectly up till now..

Any suggestions ?

opened PC, nothing wrong.. closed case and the sound works again ... WTF?

I'm amazed at your naivety believing Computing is logical


(it's most likely a loose connection on the speaker wire(s), or connectors.)

The speakers worked when I plugged them into my iPod as a test....
