Microsoft/Xbox support - what a joke
Following on from this thread https://www.scoobynet.com/computer-r...60-owners.html
I decided to call Microsoft because I was being told I wasn't able to get the offer for my 360 Arcade console.
I explained I have a Premium and an Arcade and that I have previously plugged the hard drive in from the Premium into the Arcade when wanting to play saved games etc. Becazuse of this the upgrade offer website says that my Arcade 360 has a hard drive.
Having explained all this to Microsoft and given them the serial numbers of both machines and had a long chat about it their final stance is there is nothing they can do about it even though they know I have an arcade with no hard drive.
Because the server thinks I have a hard drive there is nothing they can do. Microsoft apparently can not amend/alter the system to amend details and the offer has to go through that website and customer support can do nothing to assist if it says I am not open to the offer.
So if you so much as plug a mates hard drive in once to a Arcade console you are automatically registered as having a hard drive on that Arcade machine and it's tough **** for the offer.
How helpful of Microsoft I will be escalating this further as they are being ridiculous. I now have to go pay retail prices for a storage device if I want the NXE on my arcade box when I should be entitled to their offer.
