Selective downloading ...Macbook
I may become a pirate !
I have been directed to a place where I can download a 2009 updated map for my satnav.
The download is quite big, some 2.5 GB as it covers Europe.
All I want are the UK maps. I don't know if this is a silly question or not but if I download the full thing onto the macbook laptop then is it at all possible to delete the non-uk maps or just to choose the UK maps to download onto an SD card ? Can I sort of get into the downloaded data ?
Cheers

Usually depends on which SatNav it's for....
For example, with a certain TT, the "versions" I've got only allow you to download the entire thing/burn to disc and then install what you want from the CD/DVD.
So yes, you can, but you'll need the entire download to start with.
If you're asking if you can hack into the download, again, it depends on how the download has been compiled. You'll know when it completes!
