Default Downloading TV programmes & films

Any recomendations ?

I've been using the Sky Player service, which is OK, but the content is fairly limited.

I've somewhat restricted myself as I object to paying again to download things I already subscribe to....

Anywhere else that is worth a look - I spend a couple of hours a day on a train, so downloading tv & films to watch is a handt.

Can u not bring a laptop with you with a internet modem usb stick? Three sell pay as you go ones, and contract ones, but most companies now offer free laptops when you take an internet dongle out, so its cheaper for the consumer

Well if you had that option, bbc iplayer, channel four od, fives catch up service aswell as itv's has done me fine since they came out

For Television programs I would recommend Home - UKNova for English programs (although you ahve to wait several days to subscribe) and for American (and some English programs) TvTorrents.COM -.

For movies you have to go to sites as mentioned above as they are illegal. TV Programs sit in a grey area at the moment.

hmmmmm well if you are going to use the aforementioned T.sites, either use a proxy(s) at a minimum or at least Peer Guardian.

I was hoping not to spend more money if possible. The train has WiFi, but it's a bit patchy, not sure how good 3G would be for the whole route....

I'd rather download overnight & watch without connectivity if at all possible.

I'll take a look at these & see if they have any off line capability, or may try them with train WiFi first - thanks

Very easy. Type into 'search' what you want, click to order the results by number of 'seeds' to ensure you get good d/l speed, select the one you like and click to download the torrent. Drag the downloaded torrent file into a program like BitTorrent, Vuze, Azureus etc and leave it to do its stuff.

I haven't had any problems, just keep your ratio (i.e. upload as much as you take).
