360 plus Forza 2 is where its at, Nintendo's dont seem to be racing game oriented. Only one we have is Monster 4 * 4 world circuit, its ok but its more akin to the kiddie end of things, Mario Kart is good but it depends whether you just want to race for fun or take it more seriously.

Yeah, much better for driving games, until they break. Will be on to my 3rd soon!

Wii's are really not the best for serious racing games. I do love MarioKart but if you're after something a bit more 'real' then you have the wrong console.
Personally, I have my Wii for great fun games that are centered around playability rather than graphics etc. I use the PC and xbox for anything else
and PSP for travel.

Might get a PS3, they are great, but most of my mates have one, so I just play theirs

Xbox 360 elite then - had mine ~18 months and it's fine.

I have a Wii as well and apart from Zelda and Mario Kart it's pretty pants - haven't found anything else worth playing on it yet.

Aye, using the emulators on the Wii is pretty cool for some old school gaming as well.
360 Elite's are less prone to fault but I've had one where the component cable socket failed, a right pain!

Kinda fancy seeing what The Force Unleashed is like on Wii though

Did exactly the same thing for my 6 year old girl, bought the thing because I thought it was more kid friendly, and now a bit gutted that I don't have something like the PS3 or Xbox 360. I have decided to get me self a decent gaming PC set up, and the little one is getting a DS
