Default Changing broadband - quick question

I am changing from Sky to Nildram, I got my Mac code and gave it to Sky, they gave me an activation date of today, do I need to do anythinjg else, my Nildram is still working and the Sky homepage says there was a problem wih my order and to ring customer services, the guy on the phone seemed to think (but was vague) that it was because the old one was still active on the line.

I thought the Mac code was to allow a move of service, and that I didnt have to do anything but wait for one to go off and then plug the new equipment in ?

Any ideas ?

oops wrong way round, its Nildram to Sky as I was paying £25 for crap service since Tiscali took over, for a tenner I get the full package, seems ok, no faster, no slower from what I can see, they got everything to me on time and the swap was seamless.

Tiscali are crap, if Sky are crap, at least they are cheap.

Oh dear moving to sky eh

My old broadband supplier was £20 per month and I got 1 meg download.

Well sky when it worked I got sub 512kbit download, 6 months of complaints and random disconnects all they said was that I was a long way from the exchange

New ISP "metronet" instantly got 3meg download and I haven't moved my house any closer
