Networker NDMP/Netapp help
Hi all
I appreciate its Friday PM, but is there anyone around that has experience with using Legato (EMC) Networker to run NDMP backups of volume data on a Netapp filer straight to tape ?
I have a problem where Networker is doing a probe for devices. Sysconfig -t on the filer reports the tape drives, and the NDMP log of the Networker probe shows the session completing and reports no errors, but nothing is reported back to the Networker server to show the config. I can ping from both filer to backup server and vice versa, but either the data is not getting sent from the filer, or it is and its not getting to the backup server........
Its a long shot I know !!

I've had nothing but problems with NDMP using commvault and netapp..
Ours works, but is slow for restores.. so not really used at the moment.. dunno if these are any help:
xxxxxfiler1> options ndmp
ndmpd.access all
ndmpd.authtype challenge
ndmpd.connectlog.enabled off
ndmpd.enable on
ndmpd.ignore_ctime.enabled off
ndmpd.offset_map.enable on
ndmpd.password_length 16
ndmpd.preferred_interface disable (value might be overwritten in takeover)
ndmpd.tcpnodelay.enable off
