I have been trying to install some ecu mapping software to my laptop today.

i can download the file fine, but when i try to install it, i get an error




now i have installed language packs, i have tried to set everything to "jap spec" but it still will not work

to be honest i am beginning to suspect that it is simply not suitable for UK XP systems but i am assured that it is.

the vendor took my number at approx 2pm and said they would ring me back, but never rang back so i am no further forward.

i am not fussed about the actual software actually being in japanese, i just want it to install!!??

i have been trying since 12 o`clock and beginning to get a little pissed off with it!

any ideas

 

also just copied the installation file over to my desktop and tried it in that with the same results.....

 

what program isit you trying to install and Pm me its easier bud!

 

got this sorted, by using pirated software

its pathetic that i have paid nigh on £200 for a official dongle/lead and software download serial number, and then i cant install the software because i dont have a japanese copy of windows xp

i have a legitimately downloaded installation file that is unique to my £200 worth of cash serial number, and i cant do anything with it.

somebody who copied an already extracted installation file mailed me a copy over, the best part is that you can not even use the software without the lead/dongle anyway? so why bother region locking it and then letting distributors sell it in the uk
