Google Chrome browser
#5
I am using it as well. It is quite slow to render and looks a bit 'cartoony'.
Edit: I don't like the fact that the last few websites that you have visited are not in a dropdown. I very rarely 'type' or select from favourites as in IE the sites I visits are just there.
Microsoft should be worried as I will not install and use another browser on my PC (like Firefox or Safari), but I 'trust' Google and am happy to use Chrome.

SLOW???? I'm finding that it's running like the wind, and VERY fast indeed....
Certainly faster than FF and obviously faster than IE!
I'm very impressed with it so far

Google are currently up and down your streets taking pics of you and your kids playing in the streets without asking permission, but it's all good, cause google maps is great.
As for chrome, just because it's google, is it safe? how long before exploits appear. Tesco sell everything from coffee to car insurance, doesn't mean they are experts at any of them.

I find it hilarious that people diss MS for world domination yet applaud Google for world domination.

Just worth noting.
Be sure to read Chrome's fine print | Webware : Cool Web apps for everyone - CNET
Becareful what you post because they'll own it , also i'm sure they'll enjoy collecting all your data/browsing habits and ramming adverts down your throats.
On a good point, it's more competition for IE, FF, Opera etc. so it'll no doubt inspire faster better more functional updates from them all.

It's true though.
Google is a very large predatory company that is intent on global domination. I'm with Bob in that I can't understand why people "hate" MS, but applaud Google for doing essentially the same thing (although it could be argued that Google is even worse).
They want to control the internet, and with the launch of their own browser, which is full of "Google specific" stuff, they are getting one step closer...
I may have to use it at work, but at home I shall be avoiding it out of principal

That's correct
Nothing is safe, but I'd rather put my faith in a mature browser that has had 10+ years of development (like IE or FF) than some new piece of unproven software.

I have IE8, FF3, Safari and Opera installed on my machine. Opera was my favourite for home use, thanks to the speed dials, and IE for work as it works!!
Chrome has become the browser of choice for me, but let's see in a week or two!

I see no "need" for another new browser in the market bringing along a whole new selection of browser extensions etc. Google is doing this simply to try and dominate the internet (along with their other web based applications like maps etc).
