Default Richard Burns Rally + Wheel

Late to the game I know - but at least it runs nice and smooth on my PC.

What is the best wheel to get for this game? The G25 looks superb but costly and is the H-gate patch worth playing with?

What do others have?

Cheers
Richard.

to be honest, i would avoid any wheel that does 900 degrees rotation for RBR, i know the DFP wheel lets you select 200 degrees as well, not sure if the g25 allows the same?

reason is, RBR is almost impossible to play on 900 degrees, you will rip your desk to bits with the forcefeedback

whenever i play, i set my wheel to 200 degrees and even then its a bloody handfull, all that slide correcting and hooning about will just make you angry + give you arms like popeye, and a temper like satan

if the g25 lets you select 200 degree mode then go for it

i have a "car installer" program for RBR somewhere that lets you change all the cars around, will see if i can dig it out

Thanks for the advice Micky

Is the Driving Force Pro ok with a PC then and not just PS2/3?

Cheers
Richard.

Ah - just found out that it is

The DFP does look like a good option and I can't see myself playing many games where I need the clutch and h-gate.

G25, in the same way as the DFP, allows you to specify the angle of rotation. I had a Momo before and the G25 is much better, it also has three pedals which allows use of the clutch at a race start even if you don't use it elsewhere. I tend not to use the H-pattern as I'm not as quick when I do However I've never tried the G25 with RBR just GTR2/GTL/rFactor and now iRacing.

yea i use 900 degrees with the dfp and liveforspeed, but RBR needs the wheel spun around so fast and so often, its just impossible LOL

I use a DFP and set the FFB to 50% and 500 degrees of rotation. I have also set up the handbrake to work off the shift lever being pulled backwards

Best rally game by a long way

Look for the online 3.0 patch, it changes all the surfaces so you can run tarmac in England and Gravel in France, you can also run modern day updates of the cars
