Default firefox history

In Firefox, is there any way I can save the "history" of visited websites? ie from one dying computer to a replacement using a usb pen drive or similar?
What file do I need to copy from the firefox program files? Had a look, but there is nothing obvious I can see.

Thanks,
Dave.

not easy but

You can backup the entire Firefox profile, including bookmarks, extensions, settings, and history, then paste it into the Firefox profile directory on the new hard drive/computer. No editing is necessary. The locations are as follow:

Windows Vista:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\ Profiles\random characters.default

Windows 2000/XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\random characters.default

Windows 95/98:
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\random characters.default

Linux:
~/.mozilla/firefox/random characters.default

Mac OS X:
~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/random characters.default

* The location of this folder varies based on your operating system.
* Note that "username" is your Windows username.
* Note that "random characters" is actually a series of random characters.
* The Application Data/AppData folder is hidden by default. To view it, you must go Tools->Folder Options, select the View tab, and select "show hidden files and folders" before proceeding. (Vista users can press the Alt key to temporarily display the File menu.)

Hope this helps

Brilliant, thanks.

Both are running XP. problem is, the dying pc is a german one and its all in german.
The owner has asked if i can backup his saved documents and photos onto my pc untill he gets a new one. I was having a browse and found his firefox history is rammed with high-quality ****. Seems a shame to let this go to waste!

History is "fragile" in the sense that you can easily clear it.

Create bookmark folder and bookmark all the history sites you want to keep a record of.
