Intel marketing term for a series of specific components (motherboard, CPU IIRC) - similar to Centrino for laptops. Aimed at enterprise users as it provides a platform for central management eg patching / support.

With Intel vPro (for Desktops) and Centrino Pro (for Notebooks) you can, as an administrator remote access other Desktops/Notebooks. Good thing about it is that the targeted client doesn't have to be turned on. The DT or NB only needs to be connected to the network. If somebody is sick or on vacation you can manage this client. It is also very useful to distribute software, patches, etc. At HP, we try to sell every client with this feature to enterprise customers. We saw that this feature is more and more used in bigger companies and is well worth the little exra cost. You cannot upgrade your client with this feature at a later time. For additional info, try contacting Intel or an HP representative.
