Another interesting problem for Compaq/Microsoft;
The original iPaq holds the Pocket PC software in Flash memory so upgrades would be possible. However, Pocket PC2002 is too large and therefore the upgrade CD has several components missing. These are Media Player, eBook Reader, MSN Messenger and Terminal Services Client. These modules would need to be run from standard RAM memory however the next problem is that these software components are not available individually from Microsoft at this time and it would appear that there are no plans to add them either.
Therefore you will be unable to use iPaq with Pocket PC2002 and any form of thin clients.
Best you all buy a Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX when it is released in a couple of months !!!

I now have the upgrade disk - but have worried about actually upgrading to PPC 2002 - should I do it ? Will it be worth it or just cause too many problsms ?
Fyi I dont use MS Messenger, ebook reader or media player (I use other products).
Any advice appreciated
