Anyone got opinions on what gaming laptop for up to £1000?

I have a Rock Pegassus 665 (which is crap imo)

I play mainly Battlefield 2 and my 665 doesn't seem to like it, crappy settings only (BF" does seem hard on comps)

I need some help finding something as my head is spinning from it all.

Currently I'm thinking..

Dell XPS M1710, with dc 2.1ghz, Nvidia 7950GTX and 4gb ram.. which is around £799 on ebay (refurbed)

Any other suggestions?

I'm not very 'techy' with laptops so need to know whether I need 800mhz on the processor side or will 667mhz do etc etc? (this is just things I've noticed)


I'd dearly love a XPS M1730 with dual SLI 8800GTX's but can't justify that at the moment!

Does seem the 7950GTX is the best performance for below £1k?
