Default Disc Write Error

For a while now every disc that I write is snided with errors and I can t understand why. Im not making any schoolboy errors: or any less obvious errors come to that. Ive tried different versions of Nero (legitimate), and Ive made sure that no updates have been applied. This has happened using three different optical drives in two different machines and its starting to **** me off! This is happening across DVDs as well as now, CDs.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Could be dodgy media. Have you changed brands recently?

I'd also recommend trying alternative software. This is a good free one to try: CDBurnerXP: Introduction and News

Its happened over several different quality brands, At first I thought that they were counterfeit Ritek discs, but it has also happened with reasonable quality CDRs too.

Does it do it irrespective of write speed??? So - if you burn at single speed, or the slowest possible speed does it still burn with errors?

Yes and I was convinced that it must be an issue with Nero (it mighnt have been the most honest copy, although it started out as one...), so I tried on a new machine with a plain OEM copy and no updates. It seems to happen with every unneccessary process stopped too: Im baffled.
