[Apple] iPhone 2G & 3G News
The version 2.0 firmware for the iPhone is available early, you can download it here. I'd read this Apple support doc before doing it though.
Note that this is only for the iPhone, do not use it on an iPod Touch.
Those lucky Kiwi's have got their hands on the iPhone 3G and have disassembled it. Interesting points of note. 1) The battery is not soldered on, so that could lead to DIY replacement. 2) the LCD and Glass are not glued together, unlike the iPhone 2G.
iTunes 7.7 has been released, and includes support for the iPhone 3G and also includes the AppStore.
