Question Any real Google experts?

I mean real experts

I know plenty of techniques to get sites listed higher up the rankings but I have one client who is based in Aus and the UK.
There is one search term he is not found with when using google.co.uk but he is there in the google.com listings and we can't work out why.
He is in .co.uk with other terms but not this particular one.

I'd love to hear an experts view on why this might be.

Any help gratefully received, perhaps PM as me I don't want to advertise them or my company...
