No probs here, on Home or Ultimate. 2 different PC's.

Yes there were issues with some Intel chipsets, and some onboard audio drivers like Realtek and Sigmatel. But MS or the manfacturers have those issues resolved with their latest drivers.

From a security point of view, there is no rush to install this (SP1, Vis)

Wait for updates to the updates (common method)

No problem on the install I did and I did notice the machine running a bit quicker and file transfer speed much improved.

as above. no probs here with ultimate 64 bit. resolved my sound issues with my realtech ac97. had to have the onboard sound disabled in the bios to get vista to even boot up before sp1. resolved now. seems faster to boot now, file tansfer is faster and security doesn't seem so **** now. just wish netgear would release a 64 bit driver for my NAS device

Do it!!

I was having problems with USB connection of certain devices and there was just no work around!! Was also experiencing some strange lag running issues with i.e. that I couldn't resolve by other means.

I downloaded the SP1 pack and now it all works fine!
