Default Possible to use Netgear USB wireless stick/card on Xbox 360?

I have a Xbox 360 which I want to use wirelessly with my wireless network.

I was wondering if it was possible to use a non microsoft USB wireless card/stick like my netgear POS stick to connect to my network ?

Cheers

I tried a netgear usb wireless adapter and it didn't work. I'm pretty sure I found out that only the MS one will work with the Xbox

No it won't work. There are no drivers for it in the 360 software.

if you have a laptop can you just connect a ethernet cable from the 360 to the laptop, and you connect to live straight away??
