downloading with newsgroups
Thank god for newsgroups and the unlimited package from virgin I started downloading 70gigs worth of high definition films before I went to bed last night, When I woke this morning they were done. Under 10 hours for 70gig I'm really looking forward to when the 50mb lines come out

The Virgin 20Mb service is the quickest normally available - I'm also on it. It's great
However.... 20Mb is 20 mega bits per second...
You quoted that you could get 2.(summut) mega BYTES per second... which is pretty quick and equates to around 18-20Mbs.
....and the 6Mbps was quoted as bps, not as you've stated - Bps. Slow... in comparison.
You have to be very careful with Bs and bs. B means bytes, and b means bits!

I mean megabits. So yours is a lot faster. I'm thinking of changing to Virgin as its available in my area. Get any problems? As my speed and line tends to vary on the time of day and weather.
