Just tidying up the home office and found a copy of quake 3 arena, i remember getting this free with a GFX card years ago as some package deal, forgot i had it, checked the wiki page and it was released 1999

figured i would see if my battered old thinkpad x22 laptop would run it

worked fine, thats not the part
checked to see if any servers are running (seriously doubted it)

**** me, loads of people are still playing this game

i am shocked

this is a perfect way for me to waste time at work now

anybody still playing this (after 9 years pmsl)

ps. lets not turn this into a thinkpad x22 vs PS3 debate
edit, just found a copy of "tom clancys ghost recon" installing now

old pc games = awesome for running on laptops

Great game, me and the Bros in law used to play each other for hours online, still got mine too but it doesn't load up anymore , still got my quake PS2 game as well, actually came across iyt yesterday when I was going through games and CD's I don't want anymore, quake remained on the keep pile
