Can anyone help please.

I've got a sick PC from my local Internet cafe that is playing up. I found 30 odd virus that I removed.

Looking at the machine the registry is pretty much shafted, ran a reg cleaner that could only sort 10 entries at once. This has in excess of 600 LOL. Will take forever to clean this up

Can anyone suggest a shareware that would help ?

Cheers Phill C

PS Oh ME

Doing it as we speak, pissed off with playing with it!!

Anyway they have five machines, so the chances are they're all the same. Build a decent image, and ghost the rest of them.

Jobs a good one.

Oh and the place that I'm doing this for is my local pub, so free thorns for a while

What you want to do is:

1) Backup data
2) Low Level Format HD
3) Install Win98 SE / Win 2K Pro
4) Enjoy happy computing!

Or you could run the official MS RegClean utility if you haven't already? Get it from http://www.netprosweb.com/utility_001.htm and download it.

I don't use NT or Windows 2000, as it's hard to do anything with.

Think I'll stick with ME.

Cheers Phill C

PS I did have a program for locking all the start functions down i.e. Run, Find, no explorer etc, but can't remember what it is called
