Brain pick time!

I'm about to take delivery of a whole new studio complex , comprising of 9 rooms.

I would like to set up some type of timetabling app that will take into account from a pool of "subjects", group sizes and times.

Is there such a package out there?

I've had a quick look, but I'm not too sure what I'm looking for

In the meantime, I'm going to do it "manually" in Excel, as it's graphically easy to lay out

Any suggestions?

Backpack maybe be suitable (never used it)
We used to use Basecamp which was excellent.
