It's virtually transparent (variable), so when my boss walked past he didn't see it.



Next trick, removing scoobynet from IIS logs!

remove ScoobyNet from logs will be difficult without access to the server logfiles (plain text for MS Proxy server/IIS), but another way is to proxy using a remote server. We used to use SafeWeb when dodgy sites were needed

That's one way but a sniffer will still show all the requests. The best way is to create a reverse ssh tunnel that binds to one of your local ports (say 8080) and connects to the remote proxy port, set your browser to proxy to http://localhost:8080/. Not only will your requests be encrypted so no-one with a sniffer can see anything but you can let other people on your LAN use it as well, although their requests will be LAN-visible because of the requests to your port.
