I'm still playing Championship Manager 03/04 as love this game but it's got to the stage where the players are so out of date and all coming to the end of their careers for the big names that it's time I found an updated version.

I didn't like it when the Championship Manager developers/producers split and made two rival products as neither seemed to be anywhere near as good as the original Championship Manager series.

Is there anything out there now that equals/betters the original Championship Manager series?

I don't want ridiculously complex game play as that's what made the orginals so good, you could just pick it up and play without it getting too complex.
