LAPTOP - Mac vs Windows
I have a Windows XP desktop at home, and am going to be buying a laptop for the first time in many years.
Mainly it'll be just for word documents and a little bit of media, no games.
I'm thinking of going for a Mac Book. Would this be wise? My other option would be a Sony Vaio running Windows.
I've used Macs, but not owned before.... Whaddya reckon?

I love my Macbook (1st Gen Core Duo) and would defo recommend them.
Even if you can't get on/need Windows for some apps - you can always run Windows natively on them.....or even better, Virtually in parallels/VMWare Fusion

Was going to say that this is sort of a dilema I have now
I would like over the coming months to replace my old Laptop (Dell Latitiude D610) but have been looking at Mac Books, as I know I can run XP if I want to using Bootcamp or Parallels/Fusion I have seen them running and there doesnt appear to be any difference in speed either on the Mac Book running XP, so you really do get the best of both worlds
I have been playing around with OSX on my Dell and it does run quite well
