I have had vista home premium now for six months, now its not shutting down at all it just hangs on windows is now shutting down, then screen turns blue with errors on, any help would be a great help?

Blue screen is normally a hardware issue .. does it have any writing on it ?
Commonly something like a pen drive, external hard drive can cause this on Shut down or boot up !
Try removing all USB devices and shut down. If work connect and attempt one by one.
