Okay folks following on from my earlier thread regarding suitable dvr cards I finally purchased one from an ebay seller - uk located, came with the pico2000 software but seems it required upgraing to the $40 version - funny enough !!

so anyway have installed the card, loaded up dico800 software which I have been told is an excellent and totally free alternative too the pico2000 software, all up and running and am more than happy with the end result !!

just one thing - the cameras that I am using have sound pick up facilties, the dvr card has an input for an audio connection , well at least I am sure that is what the input is for - anyone confirm - small socket at the end off the bank off bnc connectors. ?? as far as I know the dico software does not have audio support for monitoring / recording, so whats next is there anything that I could plug this rca plug into within the pc which would alow me to listen to the audio from one off the cameras at the same time as monitoring one off the cameras ??

so just about there just a little more advice would be great !!

p.s have not had a chance to try Pico2000 software but I take it this does not support audio monitoring / recording ??
