Question Chap wants to buy my domain, should I sell...

I was never in the market to sell it. But I received an email yesterday from a bloke that said he was interested.

I've used this domain for a few years now and I would have to go through the hassle of buying a new domain (I had enough trouble getting one I liked in the first place) and then tell all my mates (all 2 of them!) of it + I'd have to amend all the web sites I have registered with.

Basically, I'm not fussed about selling it. I've already told him this.

He has come back asking for a £figure£ anway. What should I do?

Say no go, or come in with a nice high figure? If the high figure option, how much do/can they go for? (I can't believe my domain is in the top flight microsoft.com, bbc.co.uk league though). Don't forget, it is just one chap after it, not some multi-national company.

Any input would be gratefully received...

You don't know how much he's prepared to pay, just work out a figure where it's worth your while to sell it.

I have one I lease on a year by year basis. Best of both worlds.

Be careful it aint a scammer. Lots about! Especially when it comes to domains etc.
I know someone who went into "business with colleagues" only to find his money was being used for other things, if you get my drift!

You may find it isnt one chap. Thats what the multi-national company might want you to think

Lets face it, if you wanted a domain, you wouldnt go in shouting, we want your domain and are loaded, so name your price, would you

Ask him to make an offer, as he approached you.
