OSX 10.5.1 Leopard .mac sync problem
Can *anyone* help me with .mac sync problems, please?
Basically, I have 2 macs, syncing over .mac (contacts and ical) automatically, to keep my calendars and contacts up to date on both machines.
I have a problem where I constantly have the same .mac sync errors regarding the address books. I have a video of the problem below:
video link.
I've reset the contacts on both machines (deleting the whole address book on one machine from the app support folder in the user library) then making sure the .mac contents were deleted and syncing from fresh.... and the same problem exists.
Can anyone offer me any suggestions please?
Ta
Hirsty.

This - from the above link worked for me. Make sure you do the iSync bit, find it using spotlight.
. De-register all your computers from .mac (advanced tab) - if asked to delete residual data say yes.
2. Go to sharing prefs and change your computer name
3. Go back to .Mac prefs and check to see if any of your machines are still registered (sometimes they reappear, so wait 10 to 15 minutes after de-registering them)
4. Open isync and reset sync history.
5. Go to keychain access and remove all .mac passwords
6. Run keychain first aid
7. Open .Mac prefs and re-register your computers
8. Choose your master machine (with most up to date data) and sync to .mac, replacing all info on .mac with info from your computer
9. Wait 10 minutes
10. Go to next machine and sync replacing all data on that machine with data from .mac
11. hold thumbs
12. if it syncs, change one piece of data from each sync category on that machine and sync again
13. go back to master. sync again. see if changes come back.
This process fixed most serious sync issues for me from tiger to leopard and vice versa. i still get weirdness for mail signatures and keychain items, but calendars, bookmarks, contacts, smartfolders and mail rules seem to behave.

Thanks for the links btw (belated I know )
I think I've identified the problem as Plaxo, which is a pain in the butt as I could do with using it. I've removed it, and the problem now seems to have disappeared, especially as I used the links above to repair the .mac sync issues.
Top marks guys
