I have a 226BW. BEWARE!
Samsung don't always use their own panels in this model (although its the same with others). Google it!
Samsung deny there are any performance differences, but tests have proven to show otherwise.
They have even changed the firmware OSD on newer models to mask what screen it actually uses
I have one and am certain its not a Samsung screen:
It has poor backlight bleeding round the edges and the colour tone has a distinct blue/cold hue which is very difficult to calibrate and correct (even with using the drivers and software).
In contrast, I have a 930BF sat alongside it and that has almost zero backlight bleeding, and a much warmer and natural colour tone. Which makes the problem worse as Its highly difficult to correct the colour differnces between the two screens...the 930BF is a geniune Samsung panel.
Plus points: it looks nice and supports HDCP, and its cheap.
Like most people who use LCD, most may not realise the bleeding issues, and used on its own, won't notice the colour balance issues. However, if you use it for photo-editing and want accurate colours. It's not a good monitor for such tasks.
