Help, trying to put an mp3 file on the wifes mot razor v3, original file is 5mb in size and managed to get it down to 856KB with the aid off ringtone gold software, the only problem is that whenver I try to send it to the phone via the usb connection I get the message " request denied by phone req entry too large ( 0x4D )

have tried everything but constantly get the same message, have tried motorolas own software that supposdly converts any file format into a file recognised by the phone but yep same problem, the phones memory is still large enough to accept more ringtones but having now tried everything just dont know what else to try ??

mp3 file playes okay on the pc so know that there is no problem with the original file.

had this problem before when the phone was new but cant remember how I got around it but sure someone here will be able to offer some advice ??!!

IIRC the ringtone has to be no longer than 20 seconds long

Sorry mate meant to do a follow up thred to am actually all sorted now , seems I had to convert the mp3 file into whats known as a smaller mp3 file, done that and phone accepted the file, puts the whole song on as well not just a clip.
