motorstorm and Dirt are you only real options at the moment. Wait till 2010 you might get GT5 but don't hold your breath

Motorstorm, DiRT, RR7, F1 Championship edition, Burnout Paradise (as of friday), Need for speed Pro Street/Carbon there's probably others, but that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

It's only GT5 prologue that will be available in March (i.e. the cut-down demo), not the full game. Ridge Racer is not very good imo, and the F1 is utter rubbish. Dirt, motorstom and burnout are worth a look though

I see.

Dirt seems like hard work until earn enough cash though.

My in-law bought me the Ridge racer as a xmas present but i haven't had time to play it as yet.

Burnout demo was not inspiring for me but i hope the full version will be more entertaining.

Don't get me wrong, Ridge Racer isn't bad, but it's an arcade racer pure and simple. When you've raced around the same track for the 500th time against the same cars, doing the same impossible drifts etc, it all gets a bit samey very quickly...

I found F1 pretty good without driving aids

All the reviews I saw of it were hovering around to 40-50% mark, and when I played it, I thought the handling etc was laughably bad (even with the aids turned off). Bit of a lemon really, (much like the previous Sony F1 games - I wish they'd hire Geoff Crammond )

Sega Rally is great and quite challenging too.

If you can get it for £17.99 like I did then buy it.

If anyone else buys sega rally maybe we can get an online game going?

Thats the only frustrating part, I cant seem to join an online game.

Mind you my GT5 prologue has just turned up, might be busy

It's gone back to £39.99 on Play.com now but you can still get it at Blockbuster for about £20
