Nice spec but and this is the only reason I am building my own.. the parts Dell uses are lower level.. The memory for example is the cheapest they can find, same with motherboard.. They go for part that will last but that will not give the use the best experience !
I think Dell rule but if you want a high spec PC, build it yourself.

Pricing up a similar spec from Overclockers comes in a bit cheaper and you get to choose good quality components. For the same price you could get a better spec. (if you don't need an O/S too)

Same spec from Overclockers and thats not a cheap site so you could shop around !
£579.73 inc VAT best I could do it for.. in 5 minutes with named brands !

I've Just bought an XPS 420 Quad core, 8800gt graphics etc etc. I was about to press the button on the Dell website to place the order when a friend phoned. Told him what I was doing and he said "hang on, I have a code somewhere, I'll call you back". 10 mins later I press the button to order and am entering a code to get another 10% off.
Anyway, I typed "free coupons" into a uk google search, used top result and presto. Looked under Dell and in amongst loads of other deals the code he gave me was there for all to use.
Heres 1 L23XRVXCNDPWCW 10% off from here I cant see any closing date though
Give it a try.
Also if you go down the business route on the Dell website you can get a better deal sometimes. Try it, but dont forget you need to add vat on the business side.
