Help, my ipod has frozen!
My ipod has stopped mid-song, the symbol in the top corner shows that it is still in play mode, but it isn't playing and no matter what buttons I press, nothing happens.
I've tried connecting it to my computer to see if that works, but itunes won't even recognise it's presence
Mods, please can you not move this to computer related? No-one seems to go in there for weeks these days.

Try using these instructions to reset the iPod and see if that helps at all.
As for CR, I beg to differ, it's rather active, I pop in at least once a day to see if there are any Apple related questions I can answer.

Thank you Marcus, yet again
Maybe I should just PM you next time my IT incompetence stikes
I Know people do frequent CR, but it does seem to take longer to get a reply than used to be the case

depends what you ask
I stay clear from iPods as you must have iTunes installed. I just want to be able to drag and drop files across to my player. So sorry, I have no idea how to fix it....its good that others do

Have you fixed it now or not? The reboot doesnt normally fix this fault. Mines done this before and did it again at the weekend, you have to force the ipod into disk mode.
