Default Wireless networking????

I have been running a wireless router for a few months and everything has been fine up to now. I have a spare USB wireless dongle which I decided to put in the main PC which had previously had the router wired to it using an ethernet cable. I moved the router to the main phone socket and to begin with the wireless connection was fine. However, after about an hour the main PC which has the dongle in it freezes and has to be restarted by holding in the power button. It did this a few times, so I returned everything back to the way it was and all is now normal once again.

My question is this.... why would the dongle cause the PC to constantly freeze????

driver issue for the dongle I'd guess. Try downloading the latest driver and re-install

Cheers. I have now downloaded a later driver and plugged it back in, so I'll see how that goes.

Thanks.

As said mostly likely a USB driver issue.. could also be the physical port it self.. remove it from that one and try another ! using the latest drivers !
