Burning onto cd ??

Default Burning onto cd ??

Anyone advise me if you can get blank cd`s that hold different levels off data ?? only ask becuase today I was trying to put a film onto a cd using nero 7, the software converted the film into the appropriatte formatt but then advised that I needed a capacity off 900 mb where as I only had 700mb on the inserted blank disc.

anyone advise ??

you can get cd's that have a capacity of over 700Mb. I think you need to buy cd's that have 80mins/800Mb capacity and then overburn to reach 900Mb

I don't think you can overburn the 800mb disks. Also your drive and software must be compatible with the 800mb disks
TBH for what they cost it would be far easier to burn them straight to a dvd disk.

yeah the file is just too big for CD, reduce the quality or use a DVD

Sure it is AVI mate ??

have put it onto dvd now anyway but just interested for future refrence, always thought the software would convert it down in size enough to fit on a standard cd when in vcd mode.

You can use "DVD Shrink" to reduce the size of movie files mate
