I own a 360 thinking of getting a PS3 aswell
I have 2x 360's and im thinking of trading one in tomorrow to buy a PS3 and keep the other 360.
Is it worth trading my 360 and handing over £160 for the PS3? Im more interested in the blu-ray than any of the games and what game dowloads are available, GT5 demo there for download?
Im very unsure!

Yeh the 40gb has the wifi but does lose 2 usb ports, card readers and backwards compatability for ps1/2 games, AFAIK...
GT5 is available on demo if you create a jap account, or atleast it was.
As for changing mainly for blu-ray, it might be a good idea if you already have the HD drive for your other 360. I was disappointed to find Transformers was only available in HDDVD and not blu-ray, so it would be a good idea to have both until the format war is over, if it ever will be.
I think the ps3 has had a hard time in 2007 but 2008 will see a big improvement.

The PS3 is no slouch when it comes to upscaling - Transformers from a regular DVD looks great, as does King Kong - I've no need for a HD-DVD drive and considering people who have bought them can't see to give them away on auction sites / forums these days, I'm not planning on getting one.
Use my PS3 mainly for blu-ray, and its also my main DVD spinner these days too.

1) the lack of communication you get on the on-line gaming front. If Sony could only have brought out a wireless headset and mic for it then it would be on par with the XBOX360.
2) The amount of system updates you get are ridiculous. Seems to be 1 every week, and before you can play games you have to obtain the update. And these things can take from 30 -60 minutes to download and update.
3) Game update likewise. Not as good as XBOX360, where it updates and carries on. With the PS3 it always gives what seems to be 20 questions.
4) The Price of games works out to be close to £10 more than the 360.
5). Wireless can be a nightmare depending on the router. Sometimes it will disconnect.
6). Game pads a little fiddly, and no Rumble feature (Yet!).
The Good points:
1) Plays DVD and Blu-Ray
2) Pretty decent web browser
3) Good graphics in the games
4) Like the fact you don't need to buy batteries for the wrieless controllers, as you just charge them via USB.
