Seems good yeah, altho the tank didnt seem to do a lot of damage.

Can't see why the demo is 1.7gig tho, this will put people off before they've even tried the game, especially those on download limits

though it was terrible (unfortunately I'm comparing it to COD4) just another generic FPS imo

bump!

still never found a demo on XBL

but no matter, i picked up a copy of the game for 10quid i could not remember hearing anything about the game at all, and thought i would give it a try, i have seen a few second hand copies in the games shop so i figured i would kill some time and fired it up yesterday, i then somehow ended up spending around 7 hours straight on it

it seams quite good to me, i did half the single player campaign (seams short) then i tried a little of the multiplayer before i switched it off and got hooked, i ended up spending another few hours on it

no idea what i was doing, no idea about any of the maps, but it seams pretty much the same as battlefield, its apparently running on dedicated servers and you can have 50 player games

it was a bit intense!

Online it's a great game; don't understand why it never got as big as COD. Those rc helicopters and cars are funny. Servers can be a little flaky, though.

What i found quite intresting, was that i checked the leaderboards to see who on my friends list had played the multiplayer, and nobody has touched the game at all

i was thinking "why has nobody played this game" hence why i searched SN this morning for a thread.

i traded in my Battlefield Bad Company game once i ranked up to General, and i was considering buying a cheap preowned copy to play it again, but this will fill the void i reckon

I think COD has this genre sewn up, which is a shame as i really liked it but no-one else really seemed to know about it or care lol.

I bought Frontlines for the PC & found it was absolutely dire, no wonder no one plays it ! I expected better from the team that coded Desert Combat.
The demo is quite old now so it won't be in the new demos on Xbox live, you'll have to look through the older stuff.

i had to wait around 30 mins yesterday to get a ranked match as nobody seams to play ranked for some reason (was going for a ranked achievement)

its really strange when loads of people play the player matches?

the sniper rifle seams really crap, its either got really bad hit detection, or its underpowered, the rest seam fine, although i have not unlocked any of the good stuff like the auto gun turrets and such.

Battlefield Bad Company is the better "big" game but its still a pretty good title for a tenner!

Just had a copy of this delivered for the PC for 3.45!!??!! delivered from Zavvi

upon checking the Zavvi website, to post a link on here, its back up to 4.99

They appear to do 24 hour deals, when things get some hefty discounts, to be honest i was not even expecting a copy to turn up for 3.45, so was pleasantly suprised when i got into work

played it for PC - it has some nice touches but the weapon hit ratio is shocking - worth a punt if it can be had for under a tenner on any format I guess

It seams to play (and look) much nicer on my pc with a 360 controller plugged in, although i found the turn/look/right stick movement was a little bit slow, not managed to take it online yet as i am struggling to find the correct patches (loads of them!?!) and everytime i download them they seam to be corrupt
