Hi all

I have 3 Vista machines at home (sad I know). Two are connected via a hub and one by wireless. I have shares from the server mounted on the wired and wireless machine which work no problems (well they did). For some reason from yesterday when the wireless machine tries to access the share on the server it asks for a password, which I enter, and it does not accept it. All 3 machines have the same login name and password on them.

I have made sure password protected sharing is turned off, but i didnt change anything and it now wont work on the wireless PC. I dont know if any patches have been installed silently, but I will look at it now.

Can anyone help find what might be wrong ?

Have you had some sort of Firewall update?

Zonealarm had this sort of issue if you forgot to put (or it changed) the zone your machines were in. I also had this issue with McAfee at one point, gave up trying to fix it and changed software.

 

Rebooted BT Homehub and it now works........
