oh, up to 15 again!
Just hope I did the right thing in cancelling my order for the Zotac 8800GT AMP! edition from Overclockers...
On paper, the eVGA one should be faster... slightly - and you also get access to the "Step Up" programme allowing a cost upgrade at any point in the subsequent 90 days... which should be good for the new series of cards due in Feb!
Now dropped to 8 again before I had chance to him "Post Quick Reply"

Insurance really - runs like the wind, but still guaranteed for 3 years (lifetime in the US!)... and have access to the eVGA 'Step Up' programme for upgrades.
Factory OCd cards also often use higher spec memory, for example, and often have better cooling... thus, yes, you can OC standard cards to these sorts of figures - but how reliably, and for how long... and what happens when it goes pop!
I'll pay £200 for a factory OC rather than £160-170 for a standard one and OC it thanks...

US, Canadian and EUROPEAN residents...
EVGA | Step-Up Program
Will probably step-up to new 9000 series, or whatever they end up being called, in Feb... as they look like offering around double the current performance level.
Crysis is now actually playable on "high" settings... even with quite a few on "very high". "Very High" across the board still needs more horsepower though...
