Are you using Media Centre extender on the 360?

I use Vista Premium (with Media Centre) and Transcode360. Totally transforms the console when you press that little green button Plays all my divx & mpegs files no problem at all.

Yep, its transcodes them on the fly Have you set up the Media Centre bit on the 360?

Once its up and running and you have avi's visible to the 360 Media Centre, you just select the file, choose Info, More, Transcode and after a few seconds of buffering it plays. Handy for missed TV episodes, got me out of trouble a few times

You can convert Mpeg files to DVRMS files, it takes minutes. Much better than transcoding.

Never had any luck with getting transcode to work for me. Pinning all my hopes that one day a dashboard update will bring divx functionality!
