Hello all,
Saw a thread a couple of months ago about accessing websites at work blocked by a proxy server.
Our IT dept have seen fit to block loads of sites - including all the main webmail sites. Just tried to check out some PC games sites during my lunchhour, all seem to be blocked, even personal sites (is the proxy-server checking meta-data?!). All Premiership sites are blocked, as is Amazon.
Luckily Scoobynet is still accessable (for the time being!).
Are there any sites that can circumvent this? If so, what info is normally stored on the proxy server and local machine?
cheers in advance,
Ian
PS I know this has been covered in the past, but 'search' ain't workin'!
[Edited to say I spotted the mis-spelling in the subject fractionally after I'd pressed the 'Submit' button - aarrgghhh!]
