Just built a new PC after vowing I wouldnt bother chasing the ghz again!!!

15171 in 3DMark06 - Hasten to add it runs the Crysis Demo fairly well!

Went for a *slight* budget build this time (price wise), but have spent the last 4 days overclocking to get the best out of the system. Also spent about 2 weeks working what was the best bits to get. I am quite chuffed with the results.

Quad Core Q6600 @ 2.4 ghz standard overclocked to 3.4 ghz on air
Crucial Ballistix 2gb Ram
OCuk 8800GTX (the cheapest they do) 575mhz / 1800mhz standard overclocked to 655mhz / 2110mhz (with shader overclocked to 1640mhz)

With a few other bits and bobs, all running stable.

Any other comparisons on similar specs?

Regards,
Shaun

That's a very VERY nice score! Those GTX's are the nuts.

Just ran it there for fun and got 11,868

Q6600 @ 3.2
4gb OCZ
BFG 8800 GTS 640 OC2 @ 600/1400/1000 (don't have a new enough driver installed yet to clock the shader independantly)
