I'm after a PII 800Mhz CPU
#3
http://www.spd.ltd.uk/ usually have some older P3s in, although they only had a P3 850 (& above) on Monday's stock sheet.
Not sure if they supply to the public as well, but worth an e-mail.
Chris.

http://212.67.203.1/results_Pro.asp?Category=1&PartDescr=Pentium+III+[1-9]&id=765510322
Shows fcpga-133 based, slot1 100-based and 133 based 800 chips in stock. If above doesn't work, then go to www.pcindex.co.uk and click PentiumIII. Be careful and double check with the vendor on price as PCindex's prices are not always perfectly up to date, as I have been caught out before on there......
Cheers,
Nick

No, PII's only went to 450Mhz, PIII's started from 450Mhz upwards. You are definetly after a PIII-800, but you need to know whether you need a 133Mhz-based PIII or a 100Mhz-based PIII. If you are running PC133 RAM, then tyou can use either or.
The Celeron's jumped to a 100 Mhz-based core with the 800Mhz series onwards. Last revisions coming out(1200+) might well have just to swapped to 133, but I cannee remember......
Cheers,
Nick

Well spotted Dave
Cause I hadn't checked from last time I was looking at upgrading, at the time 800Mhz was the quickest..I'll see what deals I can get on a 933!
Cheers

If I read that page correctly, it's not that simple. Looks to me like:
You need BIOS 2.47
Only certain lot numbers of the board are recommended (Note 3)
The 933 will only run as a 700 - ie 100MHz FSB (note 2)
Thats my understanding of it, could be wrong but be careful
