Default Internet problem

Hi,
I have vista and explorer 7.

Now every so often a NEW Tab opens with a internet site - but not the same one!

I have pop up blocker on but seems to be a pop under - does that make a difference???

Ive run my virus checker but seems ok. Any ideas what to do to stop this?

Thanks
Paul

Run this:

Ad-Aware 2007 Free - Lavasoft

It'll tell you if you have any spyware/adware.

I have run lavasoft as above. It cleared a few things. Then it started opening new tabs again every few minutes!

Could something be in my hotmail account thats causing the problems?

Also ran windows defender to see if that clears it.
