Here is useful info for those that do not have it:

download this exe & it installs a useful web button, so when office 2000 crashes it will connect to technet & tell you the problem. Saves you having to trawl through yourself
. If you have clever users you could deliver the exe through a script, script logic etc so all your users could solve there own issues....
perhaps the second bits a bad idea
disclaimer: check os version first though as I am running win2000, not sure about NT etc, it does modify the registry with an msi
